Destiny or fate. Is there such a thing? Are our lives predetermined or is it just a random series of events? People believe that they are destined to be with the one person, their soul mate and that they will be taken there because it is their fate. I, myself, believe this to some extent. But is our life really mapped that way? Are we to follow a certain course that we have no control over? Things happen in life randomly, are we to believe that coincidence and other people's choice don't change our destined course?
These are questions that cannot be answered. I believe that sometimes girls are more inclined to feel this way, that they believe they are destined to be with their partner, the one they love. But what about people, like myself, who are divorced and/or have a string of lost loves and men I thought could be the one. I now have a man in my life who I believe is the closest thing there is to finding this 'one' person. I've had things happen to me in my life that I wouldn't like to think is my destined path, things that weren't happy times.
My BFF, B, has had her share of crappy things happen to her and it's still happening. She is the nicest, kindest and most down to earth person I know and love, yet she has had bad luck when it comes to love. Why would her fate be so bad? Is it then about Karma? Too many questions. All I know is she doesn't deserve bad karma but she's unlucky in love either way. She's paid her dues and it's time for her fate to offer something she deserves.
I think the difference between men and women is that women like to believe in fate. They like to believe they will find the happily ever after man. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. This doesn't mean the people it doesn't happen for are cursed or have a crap destiny, I think it is all life. I believe that most men would say the same. It is life, it's a random series of events and they get married because they love someone, not because the stars told them to.
